I stayed in a place like this in England once, but it was a converted Oast House on a farm, so I gave it a pass for its rustic charm. All that angular construction and finishing is a PITA, and expensive.
Historically, living in the garrett/attic was for The Poors. You have to suffer the whims of the weather and hit your head all day long. Not sure I could handle this. The mini-split AC would drive me nuts. Has anyone designed one that doesn’t look industrial AF? Seems like there would be a market for that all over the world.

I kind of like the shower. The rest is kind of pseudo-European, and trying really really really hard. Bed alcove could be cool but I predict bumped heads to the point of causing CTE.

I like the shower and I understand wanting to use all the space you have available, but that couch is only for laying on or for people who don’t have a head or shoulders. Speaking as someone who is [slightly] above average height, the whole thing makes me think “Ouch”.

Kind of like the shower, eh? Ah-HAH! You unintentionally kind of complimented my work maybe!

We stayed in an Airbnb like that in Montreal. Great place to be if you’re living out of a suitcase but otherwise...eek.

I like that shower a lot and it has m e thinking of ripping out my fiberglass tub and doing a tile shower with a bench instead maybe.

Looks pretty standard fare to me

Is it me or is the vanity mirror only useful for looking at one’s junk and/or belly button?
Also, I’m a taller gent and my skull and/or brain would not survive one night in this room.

Correct on both counts

I doubt anyone lives in that show space.

The most noticeable object in my otherwise very attractive and contemporary living room is a giant mini-split unit in the middle of one wall , so if you ever find an attractive one, please let me know.

Nah, that’s just the collective effect of constantly banging your head on things.

I need ventilation around my bed to disperse gaseous emissions.

That is a very, interesting master suite. Half of it doesn’t even look like it would be usable living area, as the ceiling is too low. That tile in the bath looks weirdly finished, as the grout is all uneven. Is it a home for sale/listed? It kinda looks like something staged by a Realtor.

Did they treat the towel in the shower with NeverWet or do they just not use that shower?

I think I have found my life’s mission.
Why is my life’s mission always a seemingly minor change to something I know nothing about, yet nobody has done it before me? Dammit.
But seriously, when industrial design has come so far in the past couple decades, I’m not sure why window A/C and mini-split A/C units are still aesthetically the same as they were 30+ years ago. Even central units have fancy paint jobs and stuff now (at least for the nicer brands).
I just figured one in plain view of everyone should look more like a modern appliance, not an afterthought.

In my part of the world, that’s an attic. It’s for storing old junk, not for living in.

Yeah, i was thinking that too. I’m north of 6' and my head ached just looking at those pictures.

Def
initely some question marks, but that shower looks sweet.

I don’t hate it...but I do admire the use of a terrible space.

The shower is pretty sweet. the rest is a bit... Euro-wannabe-tacky?

I sort of like it, though the couch/many pillows area seems a bit cramped. I don’t like it when bathrooms have separate hot and cold taps. RPM seems correct that the mirror situation is sub-optimal.

reminds me of my college apartment. We were on the top, 5th floor, when all ther surrounding buildings were 3 or 4. And our shower had a window do you could stare out at the rooftops and trees. Also refreshing to open in the winter with the hot water coming down . Poormans vertical hot- tub

Forget banging my head everywhere, just seeing all those roof lines and creases and angles would make my head hurt plenty already .
